You can file off (smoothen) one of the 3 slots on the 9007 bulbs. You'll
find out which one by comparing the 9004 and 9007 side to side - 2 slots
match, the third one is a little offset. Carefully and with patience it
can be done in 5-10 min per bulb, BTDT on 6 bulbs without breakage. Still,
the gain is minimal even with Xenon-charged 9007.

Anyway, last weekend I sacrificed looks for performance (as always) and
with the ivaluable help (actually he did most of the work - Great Thank
you!) of Stephane Livolsi from Adventure Motors, Haphazard Cutting/Pasting
and Precision Fitting we installed the big ol' rectangular Euro lights (5"
X 7"). All it took was 2 standard hardware Alu pieces - 1" X 2' X 3/8" or
so thick. Plenty of bending and testing: 3 hours for the 1st side, 1/2 an
hour for the second. Needless to say, with 80/100W H4 bulbs (off road use
only, of course ;o), nudge (2), wink (2), say no more) now I have immense
amount of light both in low and high beam. Never mind the stock look, I'm
not going back with Court decision ;o) Light surrounds will be fabricated
soon (I hope) from Lexan. Actually the lights are very deeply recessed
into the front and the car has the popular "Böse blick" as our German
friends say - the "Bösest" I've ever seen.

Greetings,
Tihol
