Hello all...

I now have a set of stock 4kq (from my 86 that I swapped for H&R's) laying =
around. I was wondering if these springs would work on the front of a CGT =
and if that would have any benefits. Since the 4kq is heavier, would these=
springs be stiffer/better on the lighter Coupe GT?

I've noticed that some guys in the VW world have been known to use uprated =
16V or VR6 springs on different models to increase stiffness/performance wh=
ile keeping stock appearance and ride height.

I looked up the front strut housings in the the FA and the numbers appear t=
o be the same (spring numbers are different, of course), but I can't find a=
nything in the archives about anyone doing this before with a CGT. I reali=
ze the rears would be different all together due to the difference in drive=
train, but maybe this would be marginally better for the fronts...

Any comments? Thanks in advance.
