It sounds like you want a either a 2.7t A6 or a '95.5
S6. I doubt you can get the 2.7t A6 in your price
range though since it's much newer. The S6 is a great
car, will be my next one for sure. Good examples can
be had for $15-$20k. The engines are of the best ever
made, easily bumped to 350 hp with bolt on RS2 parts,
500+ if you really want to get crazy and replace your
connecting rods, and get bigger fueling and air
induction items. As far as the standard A6, they are
slow, and by the sound of it you would be very unhappy
with it, although the lack of power is about one of
the only complaints you'll hear. If the size of the
A4 is not an issue, the bi-turbo S4's are starting to
really come down in price, but it sounds like you
already have an M3 to claim the prize for useless back
seats. Get an S6!
