Too bad to hear about your 1993 90 -- I actually owned one from 1999-2001
then sold to a good friend who's taking care of it now. I love that V6 --
Have you ever had any experience with the throttle body upgrade? I've been
trying to convince my friend he needs it.
About the 80Q - well I bought for $650 with dented driver side doors. I
was lucky to source them in the same color out of Eureka and get them shipped
to San Diego. I noticed that the front was pretty low and bottomed out
sometimes. After sourcing new fronts in LA for $150, I luckily got a deal
from the guy who I bought the doors from for his Eibach pros and new Boge
shocks for $200. So what I found when pulling it apart was: Someone cut the
front springs, front strut mounts worn out, rear shocks of some brand I never
heard of (KYOB?) and front strut mounts in the rear strut mount location.
The seller had spoke of the performance suspension. performance upgrade or
downgrade? Sounds fishy, but all is well now. Thanks again for your help.
did some more research and I have a new threory ... when i downshift or go
over bumps i get a short exhaust leak along with the clunking, now I am
begining to think that one of the tranny or motor mounts is bad causing the
motor movement and cause the exhaust leak, and possible the clunking noise
near or behind the driver. I will check the CV, thanks for the help
