quattro digest, Vol 1 #4692 - 4kq overheating

Had a similar issue on my beater Subie.
Found that the rad cap had failed in such
a way to cause vacuum in the system, sucking
the hoses down, stopping coolant flow.
Just have the cap checked out or watch the hoses
collapse as the system cools off when the fan
runs.
