Seems Mobil 1 is also albit more stable when hot too.
When I've occasionally Auto-X'd the 200, I get lifter
knock (oh, no, no thread here!). It's worse with Syntec
than M1.
BTW, no leaks. No leaks from my GTi either, which I switched
at 30K miles. The 200Q was switched at 88K miles, now has 195K.
BTW, the GTi NEVER gets lifter tap...

I used Castrol Syntec 5-50 for two years ol year round and only leak was from
the valve cover gasket.
It's known issue that cork shrinks with syntetics.
No other leaks despite warning by mechanicks.
Will switch to Mobil 1, because of better flow characteristics in cold.
