Vehicle speed signal in Typ 89

just get it over with now and get a new sensor, it should be just a little =
more than hand tight, very easy to see and find, right on top of the trans,=
 kinda towards the drivers side, by the fire wall. the wifes old 90 80 spee=
do was insane !! it bounced from 0-100, sometimes worked ( every time i was=
 in the car ?? ) sometimes didnt do anything. put the new one in, worked li=
ke a charm !!

I'll be grateful for any tips, this thing drives me crazy.
