Haven't scoped it myself, but I'd tend to agree with Huw here. But,
there are plenty of others that are in agreement with the original idea
(alternator vs. battery), so I'll try and borrow a scope sometime this
weekend and see what I can find.
FYI, my lights are rigged to the alternator output directly. I have had
one, maybe two bulb failures since I put the Euros in Septermber of
1999 running 80/100 (shhh...knock on wood too).
