My experience with H-4 bulbs is with BMW motorcycles. Talk about road
vibration!
I've had good luck with German Phillips/Osram 55/100W and 80/100W H-4 bulbs.
I have two in use for well over 7 years, in constant use while riding the
bikes.
All lighting is routed thru a relay wired directly to the battery. A 12Ga
ground wire is used.

BTW, the Hungarian Hella 80/100W had a short life span.
