Idle boost Valve on a 87 4kq ?

SO I take it then, it has nothing to do with idle.. :-)
So where is this exactly....Is it under the dash then?

What a funny name for that part... I just looked it up, and it is the
solenoid that switches vacuum to the recirculation flap in the white
