Oil level or over temp sender???

Is the oil light on the dash for level or over temp??  When I start the car
on the light keeps coming on.  Yes, the sump is full of oil, I have checked
it several times.

This is the only strange thing left-over from my engine re-installation and I
am wondering where the sender for that light is,  I think maybe something is
disconnected and/or broken..
