Radio "on" signal.  Used to trigger rear outboard power amplifier

Yes, this is the illumination line.  On the 5Ks, it's supplied by the
instrument light booster.

The radios of that era of Audi does not get power through the ignition
switch.

The two brown wires *must* be tied together as they serve as a daisy
chain and run to different devices.  Ditto the yellow wires.
The extra red/blue wires are off the same tap (i.e., all are not
run through the ignition switch).

They should all have +12V power on them.  The power is supplied directly
from the fuse/relay panel via fuse S4, and then to a junction tap
"F" behind the dash where they fan out into all the various red/blue
wires.

That runs to the crossover network for the front speakers.

OK.  That's the one with the red, blue, black, and black/white wires.
This runs to the rear "Duo sound" headphone console as well as the
rear power amplifier.
