POR-15, any experience?

Greg,
I've used POR-15 on my '62 DKW's floor, and the area in the front fenders
behind the mud flaps on the '87 5ktq, and misc. other places. I've also
treated the DKW's gas tank with the POR Gas Tank Kit. I've had great
results with the stuff - just be sure to follow the directions to the
letter - and note the following:
1. Wear GLOVES - don't get the stuff on your skin. When it's wet, it'll
mostly clean off with WD-40, when it dries, you'll have to wear it off.
2. Topcoat it with the "Tiecoat Primer" before applying the final paint -
when cured, POR is nearly impossible to have paint stick to it (you'll find
that out in the car wash).
3. Very difficult to use in areas where you want a smooth finish (I know you
want to use it underneath your car, but FYI) - sanding the cured POR is a
bugger.
4. Did I mention GLOVES?
There are various colours of POR available - note that the silver or grey
(not sure which) contains aluminum and will produce a thicker coat - I used
that stuff on the rusty floor of the deek and it really stiffened it up.
Cheers!
