Yes,  many of us have Euros on our cars. I am about to get mine
(Finally!!!). There is no way for the cops to know what you have on as far
as lights. As far as inspections... No idea! No inspections here in MI
(thankfully!)

I recently hit a deer with my 1990 80 quattro and was thinking of ungrading
my DOT U.S. spec headlights to Euro spec headlights.  However, after some
reasearch I have found that even tho these euro spec lamps provide a much
safer view at night, they aren't DOT approved.  Has anyone upgraded to these
euro lights anyway, and if so, how much of a problem was it to get the car
inspected, and were you hassled by the police for using the lights?
