Power steering high pressure hose rebuild

IMHO,
Don't bother with an attempted rebuild- it can be a huge PITA when
they don't build the new hose to the exact orientation and shape of
the original.

Also, make sure you use hose with a high enough pressure rating- my
mechanic is an Aeroquip dealer and they didn't have any hose rated
to 2000+ psi.

I replaced the high pressure pump to rack line in my car for approx.
$180 incl. parts & labor, using an OEM hose. Totally worth it, IMHO.

Shawn,
try to locate Aeroequip dealer in your area and ask them. I found one
in my area (Trenton,NJ) and they did it nicely. But it makes groaning
sound a little when turning. Does not bother me much and it is worthy
for $40 total.

Konstantin.

Does anyone know a good hydraulics place that will do a rebuild on a
high pressure hose for a V8? Dad and I were gonna try to find someone
here in Orlando, but I was wondering if anyone has used someone that
does good work that doesn't cost a whole heck of a lot. Just got the
Coupe sold so I want to get some work done on the V8. Rack and high
pressure hose, Euro's, and tinting and I'll be set!!!
