Well, during periods in between crying, I am laughing myself.

You are just too too funny for words. I am sure your wife adores you.
I had to really get tough here because I mentioned this for a few months before I housed
the car for several months because of insurance costs.
I now have a new sales job and really need the car. Not to mention, I don't need me, my car, and my stuff burned up.
He swears that it looks like they replaced the gas tank and the lines, but I think I will have to take it into a garage to have it looked at this week.
Some really nice person here on the Audi list recommended D & D Auto in East Hartford, and I think I will swing by there and have them look as well.
TODAY he is going to take the plate off the gas fill area and look in there.
Thanks again.
Just for another laugh, my husband NEVER listens to me about anything. Now, I ALWAYS say,
"Just remember you heard it here FIRST, and just remember how many other times my hunches have turned out to be valuable." I really don't think after ten years of this that he is going to pay any heed to my opinions.
Even when I hand him an email written by a MAN he argues with me. Even when another woman in the building mentioned the smell, he argued. So I really think that he has to SEE it himself, SMELL it himself, and a ton of bricks have to fall on HIS head. If we weren't so short of funds right now I would have take my car to a shop a long time ago.
Thanks to everyone for their very helpful replies.
And you *all* have a great weekend !!!
Cheers,
Fay
