Should I fix it or replace it?

Hi All,
Well I swapped out the sick diff with a used one from Chris at Force5. First
thing I have to say about this is, don't attempt it without a lift! The
total swap time was 12 hours (all on my back with the car 10" off the
ground). This car is a New England car so almost every bolt had to be heated
to get it loose and I had to cut one cross member bolt because it refused to
turn at all. We had to turn and tilt the 72lb diff to pull it out and all of
this took 6 hours and we thought that was the hard part. To keep this short,
we had to disconnect both suspension arms, move the exhaust, the drivers
side cv fell apart (took an hour to figure how to put it back together) and
we could not use a jack to lift the new diff in to place to get it in :( Im
sore dirty and I'll pay someone else to got through the hell next time, but
my Audi 100Q is quiet again.
