Konstantin, and all others with groaning steering,

I've read that one possible cause of the noise is a dirty filter.  Bentley
says to always >replace< the filter, but I suspect most folks simply
attempt to clean and then re-use the old one.  Even with a new filter
there's a good chance of crud remaining in the system when only one or two
pieces are replaced and then clogging up the filter.  Try removing the
filter temporarily and see if the noise goes away.

Have any listers identified a dirty filter as causing this noise?
