Hello,

I'm new to the list and thought I should introduce myself. I've been a
fan of the quattro system since 1989, when seeing a special "Secrets of
Speed" on ESPN that was about the *unfair advantage* the audi race cars
had. In that feature, they showed the Taladega-prepped 5000CS (as seen
in the gallery section of Intended Acceleration's web site). I fell in
love with the car. At the time, $30k was too much for my wallet :o)
Just recently I found and purchased a 1987 5KCSTQ and have been enjoying
it. I plan to make several repairs initially, but am really interested
in performance modifications. Possibly even a 20v engine swap some time.

Anyway, I'm anxious to become a part of the mailing list and hope that I
will be able to contribute and help others as well. I'm currently
working on my Ph.D. and run the engine research facility at the
University of Idaho, Moscow campus. I have several other vehicles I work
on, and have a moderate understanding of vehicle systems. I'm looking
forward to learning from this great community!
