WHat can the experts say about how the brake booster works?  That and
the ABS are the only interface between the pentosin system (where the
bomb is) and the brake hydraulics.

If it's all tight and solid with the engine off, but something's wrong
with the engine on, and no fluid is consumed, then I'd look at the
booster. AFAIK its the only part of the system that changes when you start
the motor.
