yep, both bulbs are burnt out, you can do it yourself with some bubls from radio shack, or get 2 new indicators for about 75 bucks each. and when ya take your dash pod out, more than likely your dash night lights will pop, its an audi thing, so get lots of those from the dealer and replace em !! it works the other way too, when ya replace your burnt out night lights, the temp and gear indicator ususally blow !! also the same with your cs digital heater controls. the whole car is a time bomb with the lights !!

I have a 96 A6Q Wagon. When the ignition is off the selector lever indicator
is dark--totally dark, black. So is the outside temperature indicator. When
the ignition is on, both the selector lever indicator and the outside
temperature indicator light-up--sort of. The figures are dark gray on a
black background. Is that normal? I can see them only in certain light and
not at all in the dark. What is wrong here? Anybody have any ideas? Thanks
for your help.
