4k windshield

Does anybody know of a place other than the dealer to buy a windshield seal
for an '85 4kq?  I checked the dealer price and found that it is $216 and
the clamping strips are ~$20 a piece and you need 4!  That's $300 without
even figuring in the glass and installation.  I do have a friend in the
business to get me the glass and install it cheap but I wasn't expecting to
spend $500 on front glass for the car.
I would really like to replace the seal because it has been leaking.  Is
there any way to salvage the seal with some silicon or something to make a
good seal?  The locking strips I can live with but the seal itself is just
an extra 200 bones I don't want to part with.  Any BTDT from anybody would
be appreciated!
