5KTQ Center Driveshaft Support

I've noticed a clunking under hard acceleration in first gear that
vibrates the floor/seat area. It is rhythmic like a driveshaft would be.
Going underneath I found that the driver side trans mount was slightly
loose, but I'm really questioning the center driveshaft bearing. Should
there be any play in that at all? I can grab the driveshaft and move it
probably 1/4" in either direction (up/down and side/side). Also, I've
heard of a better/cheaper replacement from another VW/audi application.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance--
