Hissing Sound, T44TQ

I think your a little backwards on the boost profile with given broken
bits :-P. Any exhaust leak AFTER the turbo will have no effect on the
amount of boost that can be built. You can run just a downpipe and the car
will build the same amount of boost as any full (non-blocked ;) exhaust.
Typically exhaust leaks sound much more like a tickety-tick sound up close
to the engine, not a hiss, pisshh, woosh, etc.
There CAN be intake leaks and still see plenty of boost beyond 1 bar. In
fact if you have a leak that is venting all positive pressure the leak
would have to be so large that chances are the car would never run in the
first place. I've had several leaks with the 90tq through it's evolutions,
and every time I was able to get to max boost (1.8 bar), it just took a
little longer, since my car has a totally different injection system the
90tq wasn't affected by the missing air, as it hadn't been metered yet,
like in the CIS cars.
I'm still going with the others and putting my bet down on either the
intercooler end caps, or MM hose. The MM hose pretty much _has_ to be
taken off in order to properly inspect it (not sure if you have checked
these items yet I haven't been following your previous messages too well,
and they're on a different computer at the moment;).
Take care,
