Doug,

I used something awfully similar (perhaps the same stuff?) to this hose in
my old '89 200tq.  It was supposedly rated for rather considerable
pressures - well above those in that car (~20 psig).  I forget the exact
pressure rating but it was something like 60 to 70 psig continuous
duty.  It was fine for a while.  The mechanical properties of the plastic
coupled with the presence of fairly stiff spring steel wire imbedded in the
hose eventually made keeping a clamp on tight enough to prevent leaks
virtually impossible.

The upshot?  I went back to the standard MM hose and got altogether better
service even if I did have to replace the hose periodically.
