Lister experience +/- with Yoko ES100 or Sumitomo HTR 200?

Hi Jan --
I've put 18,000 miles on a set of Sumitomo HTR 200s on my '82 Mercedes
300cd. They are absolutely outstanding rain tires, even with
temeratures down into the upper 30s. My coupe gets a lot of freeway
miles and uses 70 series tires, so I haven't been carving a lot of
corners with them. But I DO like to steer with the throttle a little on
the exit ramps, and I've found the HTRs composed and very predictable,
on wet or dry pavement.
Tire noise is not an issue. I am feeling a little vibration on rough
pavement at ~75 mph, so I'm thinking of having the tires rebalanced.
Also, I may have lost a balance weight on a rear wheel...
I'd expect another 20,000 miles out of them, judging by the current
wear rate.
HTH
