Mike, yes, the turbo absolutely quiets the exh, I'd say similar to the effect
of one free flow muffler. Early rally exhausts many of them were straight
through pipe, some may have had a resonator, those are race cars however, so
decibel level wasn't as much if any of a concern.  Ever notice how quiet the
R8's are comparted to the NA cars?
