Looking for Audi Diesel.

Hi George;

I know the 5000 diesel was imported to Canada around 1985 but demand was low
and the cars had problems, so they weren't imported for long - maybe only
one year. I don't know if they were ever imported into the U.S. I've only
seen one for sale and that was in Toronto several years ago. I imagine most
are in the boneyard at this point. You may be further ahead to import a used
engine from Europe and do a transplant.

Apologies for sending this to the list.

I have recently started experimenting with Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) as
a substitute for Diesel fuel. I'm using it in my Jetta Turbo Diesel and
would like to be able to afford to drive my Audi as well ;-)

I put an ad in the marketplace, but if you're like me, you probably
don't check the marketplace every day. Does anyone know of an Audi
Diesel 5000 or similiar for sale?

I appreciate any leads.
