Hi Per;

The North American depiction of a Viking funeral is a burning ship sailing
out to sea with the corpse aboard - hey, if Hollywood says it's so, it's got
to be right, doesn't it? :o).

The Vikings were typically buried under half a ton of rocks, often
together with their own ships and lots of treasures. This was believed
to bring them a rich life in Valhalla. I dont know what that has to do
