Cool, well, off the top of my head, figure a flat piece of sheetmetal, say 16 gauge, 1" wide and about 1.5" long, 1/2" hole in one end, 7mm hole in the other end.  The small hole is secured under the plastic nut, and you thread in a hose clamp through the 1/2" hole which also captures the braided hose, tighten up the clamp, wala, low profile to boot.  Then you take some more sheetmetal and cover the hose under exposed areas that could come in contact with a road obstruction, especially the part right where it comes down past the front subframe underneath the body there.
