Marc,
I'm glad I could provide some help.
Another option is run your current lines inside any kind of metal tube to
isolate the smell.
For the hose fastening of your hose under the car, you can use vynil coated
clamps. I use them for brake tubing and wires.They are cheap at the racing
shop called: Home Depot.
