Hej Per,

I'm glad you brought this up and so promptly. I will keep my eyes open.
As a matter of fact: Last night I went to get gas (so I wouldn't have to
do it this morning), and I noticed my lifters were a little noisy so I
checked the oil. The dipstick seemed to be about 1/2 quart low. I attributed
this to having just changed the oil and it needed to get into the filter,
or hadn't made its way all through the engine, but you never know. We
suspect I already had blow-by from the smell of the original oil, so my
seals are probably not that good anyway.

I will listen and keep my eye on the dipstick. I have a track event (the
whole point of this exercise in the first place) coming up in a couple of
weeks. Folks, maybe now's the time for you to buy some shares in oil
companies since I may be raising the stock price.... Per, I sure hope that
was a coincidence and not a real data point.

BTW - does anyone know of a brand of straight 40W synthetic oil? I'd like
to be prepared...
