I've had the same impression, Jim - they seem to be a bit less robust than
they used to be. I returned one last year because I could see a glue line on
the steel header - looked like they missed a bit with the media glue
application. Like you say, still a good filter.

I agree with you on the AC Delco filters.  I also
endorsed them several years ago.  I am wondering if
they cheaped up a little many a year or two ago.
Maybe it just seemed to me that the case steel was a
heavier gauge.  Still seem very well made to me
though.
