I've found that if the instrument cluster is removed that gives you access
to the 2 small screws( that have their heads painted over and like sealed).
once you pick off the paint, the screws and the switch can easily be removed
  Total of less than 1 hour

Nope, no way to do it IME, just pull the steering column, not too bad, once
its out you can easily chage the switch. Problem is the switch is held in by
2
very small screws that thread in from the top, no easy acess to them.

If anyone's found another way that woudl be nice, takes a couple hours to do
it the above way though.
