Anyone got a 2069 tool they want to sell or lend me? I'm ready to change
the shocks in my type 44. I know I can remove the old ones with water pump
pliers (ugh), but I can't see trying to tighten the new ones with the same
"tool".
Car noises . . . two comments caught my eye.

. Strangely enough my 18
>month old daughter can always tell when im on my way home!!!!
Years ago I had a nasty, ratty, evil MGA with exhaust leaks galore - it was
pretty noisy.
I also had this nasty, ratty, evil old tomcat (also noisy), who recognized
the noise the car made - he knew whenever he heard that noise, he was going
to get fed and petted.
One day he didn't come home. Nor the next day, nor the next.
Being otherwise out of ideas by this time, I decided to get into the MG and
drive around to look for him (yeah, rotsa ruck).
About six blocks away, guess who comes blasting out of the bushes and got
to ride home in the right front seat? And he *hated* cars, too.
Never left home again, either.
True story.
Best Regards,
