I would remove it.

If you have the tools to do it.

BTW, you can get the hub puller for free at most FLAPS. You pay for it then
return it, most of these shops encourage you to do it.

I have a press,  the correct dies, and had my front housings in and out a
dozen times, so for obvious reasons I prefer to remove it.

I never used this tool, but I suspect that the rental will cost you more than
a visit to the machine shop.
