Audi A6 Ignition Switch Jammin'

My '96 A6 had a problem with it's ignition switch, but it was electrical not
mechanical as this problem sounds.  Yes there was a recall for the electrical
problem.  It would be worth investigating if there is a relationship between
the sticking problem & the electrical one described in this recall notice.

     SOME ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES, SUCH AS, TURN SIGNALS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS,
LAMPS, POWER WIND0WS AND AIR
     CONDITIONERS CAN MALFUNCTION WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED. 

     DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH.
