relative quickness (of car, and slowness of mind?)

I had a funny thought, or lack of it, the other day.
I took two people out in my 5kcstq, and I remember
thinking how it seemed to be a little sluggish. I
wanted to show them how fast it is, but it seemed to be
off it's pace. Nothing was apparently wrong, it just
seemed slower. I didn't think too much into it until
later.
It wasn't until the next day <duh> that I realized it
was the weight of the passengers that was the
difference, and my car was probably performing as well
as usual. I got a chuckle out of that when I realized
it.
So, I'm thinking a measurement one could use as a goal
for a performance or power upgrade, could be that the
car ends up being as quick with a full load, as it was
pre-upgrade with the driver only. At least for me, it
seems like that would be a nice goal to strive for. My
car would be pretty quick, if it were as fast full as it
currently is empty.
Just some thoughts to throw out there.
Later,
Ken
