- 3500 rpm the engine starts to "spit back/misfire". If I stop the car and
take the engine up to 3-4000 rpm. with the gear in neutral everyting looks
normal.
In the beginning I thaught it could be something wrong with the
dieselfilter. Two filters and 25 000 km later, this still happends from time
to time. I have checked the used filters and they look ok, witout any dirt
inside. I also use original audi filters. I have inspected the fuel tank but
it was also quite clean inside.
Once when I stopped the car and looked at the engine just after one of this
spit back/misfire episodes and the engine was ideling I think I could see a
very small air bubble in the lucid hose bringing fuel from the filter to the
dieselpump. Maybe I have a problem because the system is taking in air
somewhere? Anyway it`s a litle strange because it dont happend during every
acceleration. And it`s no leaks to see from the fuelsystem.
Does anyone now something about problems like this? And if it is a "air
problem" do anyone have a suggestion about were I should start look for it?
