Good Denver area Welders?

Even the small TIG units are pretty beefy. My Lincoln Squarewave 175 is
great for everything but really thick aluminum (you have to heat that
stuff up like crazy before it will pool). When I was building my SS
exhaust with it I found I never needed much more than 30 amps to weld
the 16 gauge pipe.. my guess is that you could probably weld the 1/2"
thick stuff without too much difficulty.

I agree though that the heavier duty welding is best left to a water
cooled unit.... I cooked one torch already welding the endtanks on my
IC. I've been flirting with the idea of hacking together a water cooler
for my torch to help prevent meltdown (hey, a use for that damned type
89 aux. radiator ;-) ).

what better time to learn? If you really want a pro to do it, look
under the yellow pages for welders/fabricators. I didn't expect to find
much but there were in fact several listings in my area.

what grade/thickness stainless pipe were you going to use? Supplier?
Cost? I've been flirting with the idea of fabricating a header as well.

Later!
