Well, when I parted out a 92 80q I found the amplifier for the front
windshield tucked behind the passenger side a-pillar cover. It is
probably in a similar location for the rear. The unit is pretty small..
maybe half the side of a deck of cards.
If you are using a different head unit then you could probably just use
one of the wires that runs to the rear speaker system since it is an
amplified setup there should probably be at least one wire running to
the head unit that you could use for a turn-on lead.
