new car advise

My minivan lease is up and it's time again for a car. I test drove an A6 an=
d it's too soft tho the power is adequate. ( cup hoder is terrible, the sal=
esman asked me to slow down) I prefer an avant but the 2.7 isn't available =
in that version. Next step up would be the All Road but I dont need all the=
 stuff it offers.  Whis the company would spring for an S6.

So I have a question for those in the know.  How does a Passat W8 w/ sport =
options compare to the 3.0 A6. Might it fall in between that and the 2.7, o=
r is it something else. I don't really mind driving a VW but would prefer a=
n Audi.
