Blau headlight harness failure

This past weekend I finally got around to diagnosing my lack of high
beams on my 88 90q with euro H4/H1 headlights and the Blau wiring
harness (

r%20retail.htm ).  It was a pain to debug since with the high beams on I wa=
s getting 12 volts at the connector for the lights.  After ruling out the b=
ulbs I got a very high reading on the point to point resistance from the re=
lay block to the end of the headlight connector so I stripped open the harn=
ess and the wires leading to the positive connection junction point which f=
eads all the hot terminals on the relay block just fell right off!  I can't=
 really complain about how they made the harness.. the part that failed use=
d those special solder/crimp joints but somehow the corrosion got past the =
heat shrink on the harness and must have just eaten at the connection until=
 either vibration or the corrosion itself just wore right through the wirin=
g=2E  I repaired the harness and everything works fine now.

Anybody else have a problem like this?
