and this person was running a timing belt cover??????
I can't see how any accessory belt could get sucked under the t-belt
with the cover in place...
I've seen conversions where people leave the cover off either because
they are running timing pins or just because they feel like it. Seems
dangerous to me just for this reason.

well said. I count myself lucky for getting away with the light damage
and no loss of flesh that I did. I still feel silly for using a fully
threaded bolt for securing the ball joint, but I won't make that mistake
again!!
