howling after T-belt job?

does the howling sound like a turkey gobbling or just a whine?
Typically noises of the turkey variety are water pump related.  BTDT on
a brand new German made water pump that Rod replaced for me under
warranty.

If it is just a plain whining noise it could be the timing belt is too
tight OR it could also be the alternator or power steering pump belt is
too tight (both of which would have to have been R&R'd in the
procedure).
