yes, I really like the idea of the "split line" to match the bumper.
That way one could leave the top half black and paint the bottom half to
match the body colored bumper.

One thing people need to note is that this replacement for the stock
reflector is not intended to look like a reflector anymore.  It will
come shipped black from what I can tell from the pics (correct?) and to
me, it would look killer to have the "molding" line built into it as Huw
describes.
