The job is a lot easier with the bumper removed - but this is an easy
thing to do anyway. The radiator can stay in place. I removed mine
because I installed a new one at the same time.

The main bugbear is locking the crankshaft while undoing that main crank
pulley bolt. There is a tool made to do this, or a few different tricks
of varying quality that people try.

That big bolt needs a *lot* of torque when being put back on, so plan on
having a sturdy (impact type) socket and a four foot pipe for leverage.

I hope you also got a new crank seal, as it is cheap, easy to replace
and requires no extra labor to get to while you are doing this job. You
should be planning on replacing the TB, WP, the crank seal, the TB idler
pulley, and the accessory belts (alt/PS/AC), since they will be off the
car. Doing the thermostat as well is appropriate, although you can get
to it at another time.
