I would do as others have suggested, but for what it is worth this is
how I did it. When I converted my CIS powered 83 GTI to EFI I used the
standard CIS inserts and changed to the CIS O-ring instead of the
standard EFI O-ring. I had to add a support bracket for peace of mind,
but the fit was quite snug. On the 83 GTI head they are plastic and
don't have the air shroud cup that came later. You could likely just
remove the air shroud cup (plug the air shroud source hole) and do the
same thing on an Audi head. Mine has worked fine for about 7 years and
has never given any trouble.
Of course with the part number information others have given that is the
cleaner solution.
