Gent(s) and Ladies:
I hear these stories, ALOT.
Since I like to stir the pot with AOA. would there be others willing to
"vent" on/for/about other "owners" in need?
There too many things passed off as "normal" when they ARE warranty items.
I'm not talking 12-17 year old 200's and 4000Q's.....Even beyond their old
Door handles......................
I'm talking about A6 and A4's......not by driver incompetence like burning up
turbos and coking their oil from hot shut downs either................
I'm talking about belt tensioners and timing belts rated at 60-90K miles
(100K in California), breaking or replacement needed in the 50's. TREND?
My lady's A6 ('99) Audi assured (Tm) had her belt done at ~50K miles last
winter.
I'll write for you if you'd like.

Previously:
(who is as we speak making attempt number *5* to install a working radio,
this time after I told them how to do it - Thanks Ti!!!), or from Audi
of America who assured me it was completely normal for a 2.5 year old car
with 52K to eat it's water pump and timing belt and destroy the engine.
Oh, and since your car is out of warranty...........
Sorry for the rant, but I'm sitting at this poor excuse for a dealer now,
waiting for them to even pull my car in for the promised 10 minute fix.
Audi should be embarrassed to have their names on this stuff they turn
out now, Those of you that know me know I've been a loyal Audi owner since
my '89 100Q which is still on the road at > 350K miles.
