Thanks to all those who responded to my CIS to EFI injector question. I can't
imagine how long it would have taken to find the right part # by trial and
error...You guys rock!
Unfortunately, it seems I'll need a clutch before the EFI goes in. Was
driving on the highway today, going up a hill I rolled into the throttle. When the
boost came up to about 5 psi the clutch started to slip. Car seems OK on the
flats and around town....
A few questions...
1. How long can I drive the car like this before the clutch goes completely?
It apparently is the original one with approximately 220,000miles so I guess
its due.
2. I'd like to put a heavier duty clutch in to handle the extra hp. Is there
any benefit to installing one from a 5KT or is it the same as a 4KQ clutch?
Other recommendations?
The car is an 87 4KQ with an MC top end and JT bottom end, so its still got
the stock 4KQ clutch and flywheel.
